The multiculturalism segment of the program was intended to help create a society that is tolerant of differences in ethnicities and religions and to dispel the discrimination that exists and manifested as physical and cultural violence. A subset of the multiculturalism study is heritage and tourism policy. These policy propositions will need to roll out community tourism projects across the country. The inbound tourism surge should bring an understanding of the distinct cultures of different ethnic peoples in Myanmar and should lessen bigoted perspectives and contribute to the peace building process.
